Talking Health is a Network of independent freelance consultants, organisations and individuals supportive of the development of values based, lay led self-management and empowerment training for people living with long-term conditions, and the health and social care professionals that support them.
The members of the Talking Health Network share a collective vision of a world in which people living with long-term conditions have access to, and are central to, the development of high quality health care services.
We offer training and support to organisations that help people living with long-term conditions develop the necessary confidence and skills they needĀ to live their lives to the full.
We also work with health and social care professionals to help them develop their professional practice and ability to support people living with long term conditions to be involved in decisions about the care they receive.
The collective efforts of Talking Health Network members are aligned to the values and standards contained within the Quality Assurance Framework; Ss2Q Stepping Stones to Quality and its companion document Stepping Stones to Success.
TheĀ members and Directors of Talking Health Network Ltd - Jane Cooper, Linda Smith and Jean Thompson - have been at the forefront of the development and expansion of self-management interventions in the UK over the past twenty years.
