Dr. Kathy Hawley has academic qualifications which are all backed up by active experience in those particular fields. These qualifications include an M.A, a Ph.D. a postgraduate Diploma in Research Theory and Methodology, Qualifications in Child care Law and Practice. She has been involved in Child Health Projects for many years. An example is the setting up of a sitting service for Children with Complex medical needs at the John Radcliffe Hospital.
She is also the Author of the Staying Positive Programme for adolescents with long term medical conditions which won the Guardian Public Service Award in the long term conditions category (2008).
Kathy also works in conjunction with Keith Hawley where the combination of their joint qualifications and experience can lead to very cost effective results.

Services Offered:
Kathy has expertise in research work, development work, evaluation and feasibility studies both in adult and children’s services and project management. Kathy is also qualified to deliver adult self-management programmes, act as a lead trainer, assessor and trainer of assessors. She also is well qualified to deliver the Supporting Parents Programme as she was the author of the adaptations made to the Supporting Parents Programme as well as the project manager for the early pilot.
She is currently working on a self-management programme for young people (16-25) with life limiting or palliative care needs. This is with the support of the National Patient Organisations for this group of participants.
