Pauline Kelly:
Pauline has a background in physiotherapy and has worked for both government and non-government organisations in the field of community health and chronic condition self –management.
Pauline has had an interest in patient self-management for many years. She first trained as a Stanford Arthritis Self Help Leader 20 years ago while working as the physiotherapist at Parks Community Health.
Subsequently, Pauline managed the Arthritis Foundation of South Australia’s education programs for 8 years this included an extensive Stanford CDSMP program. Her work with the Stanford self-management programs in South Australia was recognized by Professor Kate Lorig and Pauline was invited to the Stanford Patient Education Research Centre in California to be trained as T-Trainer in 2001. In this capacity, Pauline has conducted many Stanford master and leader training workshops throughout Australia and New Zealand.
In 2006, Pauline joined the Flinders Human Behaviour and Health Research Unit as an Education and Training officer. In this role she has been involved in the dissemination of the Flinders programs throughout Australia.
