Profile:
I have lived with a long term health condition for over 30 years. Previously worked as a Mechanical Engineer for British Coal and retrained when leaving that employment. BSC in Science Education Studies.
Extensive experience in supporting PCT's and Social Services departments to deliver Expert Patients Programme and derivatives for informal carers, including recruitment, delivering, training and supporting people to deliver self management programmes.
I lecture to medical staff and students in NE England about living with a long term condition and the effectiveness of self management programmes in helping to people to manage their long term condition. I also provide training for Local Involvement Networks (LINks).
I live in County Durham close to major transport links and can travel to any reasonable location mainly North East England, Yorkshire and Cumbria.
